The missing body of Head of Vengarl. He dual wields the Red Rust Sword and the Red Rust Scimitar.

**Lord's Private Chamber**  
He guards the Primal Bonfire reached after the Duke's Dear Freja boss fight. Only in *Dark Souls II*.

**Shaded Woods**  
Located where the Golden Lion Warrior previously was, blocked on either side by petrified Lion Warriors. Only in *Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin*.

### Strategies

- Try ranged weapons or poison if you have trouble with him.
- He has very poor turning and tends to be locked in a direction when he attacks. Finding opportunities to backstab him should be easy.

### Notes

---

- After defeating him, Head of Vengarl will sell the Red Rust Sword, Red Rust Scimitar and Red Rust Shield and he will be summonable as an NPC phantom.
- Though he is much larger than most other humanoid enemies in the game, he can still be backstabbed. He can be parried and riposted as well.
