At the bottom of the ladder pit in the area below the Central Gutter bonfire, after every sconce in The Gutter has been lit. Only in Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.

Notes
- He will only invade once every sconce has been lit in The Gutter. The easiest sconces to miss are the one at the end of the zipline (unreachable otherwise) and the three near the bottom of the pit below the second bonfire, one of which does not have ladder access and must be dropped to from a higher platform.
- Using a Bonfire Ascetic on the Central Gutter bonfire will allow you to re-light the sconces and fight him again.
